Introduction:

Stainless steel refrigerators are known for their sleek and modern design. Maintaining their looks can be challenging, especially if you are dealing with stubborn stains. In this blog post I will share some cleaning tips that you can try at home.

Background:

Stainless steel is an alloy consisting of chromium, iron, and other elements. The chromium content must be 10.5% or greater. The production of stainless steel includes a number of different steps like melting of scrap metals, removal of carbon, casting, rolling, cutting, and finishing.

Stainless steel is known for its aesthetics but can end up looking dirty due to smudges, fingerprints, and liquid stains. Below is a step-by-step guide for tackling those problems so that your stainless steel refrigerator stays looking clean and new!

Guide to Cleaning Stainless Steel Refrigerators:

  1. Collect Your Supplies:

Gather your microfiber wipes, optional baking soda, optional dish soap, optional spray bottle, and optional rubber gloves.

  1. Use a Non-abrasive Microfiber Cloth:

  2. Use a microfiber cloth to ensure that you don't scratch the stainless steel surface.
  3. Clean In the Same Direction Of The Grain:

  4. Avoid wiping against the grain.
  5. Water Alone For Light Stains:

  6. Place some warm water on your microfiber cloth and wipe the surface in the direction of the grain. Dry with another microfiber cloth to prevent streaks.
  7.  Dish Soap For Medium Stains

Put a few drops of soap on your microfiber cloth, add on some warm water, and wipe in the direction of the grain. Make sure that you rinse thoroughly with water afterwards and dry with a separate cloth.
  8.  Baking Soda And Water Paste For Difficult Stains

Make a warm water and baking soda paste and apply it to the stain. Leave it on for a few minutes before wiping it away with a wet microfiber cloth. Dry with a separate microfiber wipe.
